From the Bach Inventions to the Chopin Preludes, we will explore and learn about the greatest classical composers and their eras. You will learn classical technique and phrasing while incorporating your own artistry.

While learning about Jazz and Pop, you will be able to choose from a wide range, offering a variety of songs. You will learn about chord notation, lead sheet reading, and song form.

Ear training is included in all lessons no matter what style you are learning. Ear training focuses on being able to identify chord qualities, different tones within scales, and melody dictation. With these skills, you will be able to hear your own mistakes and be able to fix them independently.

A critically important music skill is the ability to read a piece and play the basic structure. You will be able to read music faster while improving your note precision, an essential skill for those who wish to play in ensembles and bands.

Music is much more than what you see on the page. I believe being able to understand the mechanics behind why music sounds the way it does is one of the best skills a musician can have. You will be able to analyze your pieces in a deeper way, thus making your musicianship well- rounded.
